Bucharest, May 14, 2025 – Biofarm (stock symbol BIO), one of the largest pharmaceutical producers in Romania, recorded a 33% increase in turnover compared to Q1 2024. EBITDA grew by 51%, reaching RON 40.5 million, while net profit rose by approximately 57%. These results reflect the efficiency of the company’s operational model and the improved commercial performance.

In the first quarter, Biofarm maintained its position as the second-largest player in the Consumer Healthcare (CHC) segment in terms of units sold. Sales were supported by strong performance in categories addressing cold and flu symptom relief, digestive health, pain management, and emotional balance. The company holds the leading volume position in six key categories through its brands: Bixtonim, Colebil, Triferment, Extravalerianic, Carmol și Carbocit.
