Composition:
Biofen for children contains ibuprofen, a substance that belongs to the class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs alter the body's response to pain, inflammation and fever.
Indications:
Biofen for children relieves children's fever and pain and has a long-lasting action of up to 8 hours.
Biofen for children is used for symptomatic relief of:
- fever, including post-vaccination (post-immunization) fever;
- pain of moderate intensity, such as sore throat, pain associated with tooth eruption, toothache, headache, pain associated with ear inflammation, pain associated with dislocations.
Dosage:
Children 3-12 months: 2.5ml of oral suspension (it contains 50 mg ibuprofen), maximum number of doses/day is 3. Time between two ibuprofen doses is 6 - 8 hours;
Children 1-3 years old: 5ml of oral suspension (it contains 100 mg ibuprofen), maximum number of doses/day is 3. Time between two ibuprofen doses is 6 - 8 hours;
Children 4-6 years old: 7.5 ml of oral suspension (it contains 150 mg ibuprofen), maximum number of doses/day is 3. Time between two ibuprofen doses is 6 - 8 hours;
Children 7-9 years old: 10 ml of oral suspension (it contains 200 mg ibuprofen), maximum number of doses/day is 3. Time between two ibuprofen doses is 6 - 8 hours;
Children 10-12 years old: 12,5 ml of oral suspension (it contains 250 mg ibuprofen), maximum number of doses/day is 3. Time between two ibuprofen doses is 6 - 8 hours;
